I’m Justin Gravett. I’m 17 yrs old from Austin, TX. I started racing spec miata when I was 15, and on October 8th I will make my debut at Road Atlanta with JTR Motorsports Engineering in a Tunnel To Towers Mazda MX5 Cup car! Tunnel To Towers is a phenomenal foundation started by the Siller family after 9/11 to honor their youngest brother Stephen, who was determined to carry out his first responder duty, by strapping 60 lbs of gear to his back, and racing on foot through the tunnel to the Twin Towers, where he gave up his life while saving others. His family, through the foundation, has been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. They are also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and helping America to Never Forget September 11, 2001.
I am excited to announce I will be running side by side with first responders and 9/11 families at the annual 5K Run in New York City on September 28th. The event symbolizes Stephen Siller’s final footsteps from the foot of the Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers and honors the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers, and thousands of civilians who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. I’m only 17, and I wasn’t alive during 9/11, but I do think I can still make a difference, and I do believe in the Siller’s family mantra from St Francis of Assisi, "while we have time, LET US DO GOOD!"
