In 2017, Team NYPD Stephen Driscoll was formed in honor of my brother, Stephen Driscoll.

Stephen was the eldest of six children, and we were raised together in the Bronx. Born on July 4, 1963, he was patriotic from the very beginning. As a child, he dreamed of becoming a Police Officer.

After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Navy, where he proudly served as a SeaBee, always ready to protect and serve our country.

In January 1992, he fulfilled his lifelong dream by joining the NYPD as a New York City Police Officer.

For Stephen, simply being a Police Officer wasn’t enough. He wanted to be a “Cop’s Cop,” so in 1998, he earned a place in the NYPD’s elite Emergency Service Unit.

On September 11th 2001, Stephen responded to the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Tragically, he lost his life when the tower collapsed.

Stephen was one of the 23 NYPD Police Officers who made the ultimate sacrifice that day, alongside 343 members of the FDNY.

September 11th is a day we will never forget.

Forming Team NYPD Stephen Driscoll has given us the opportunity to honor Stephen’s memory while raising funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. It also allows our family, friends, and supporters to come together to make a difference by contributing to a cause that continues to honor the sacrifices of our nation’s first responders and military heroes.
