In April 2024, Lt. Michael "Hootch" Hoosock" was tragically killed in the line of duty as an Onondaga County Sheriffs police officer. Within hours of this tragedy, the Tunnel to Towers organization was in contact with his surviving family, seeing how they could help. Their Fallen First Responder Program ensured that home will always remain home for the Hoosock Family.
In September 2024, 14 of Hootch's friends carried on his memory and spirit of goodwill by participating in the NYC 5K and raising over $13,000 for T2T! Over 200 community members generously contributed to make this happen on behalf of Hootch.
This year, the goal remains the same: to raise money for Tunnel to Towers, so this wonderful organization can continue to help the helpers. All donations are graciously appreciated, and words of encouragement are equally uplifting.
